Overdue
Life has been crazy to say the least lately. I thought I would try and catch up on my blogging! Well as far as my pregnancy, turns out I went a week overdue before the doctor finally induced me. I tried everything to get my boy here and he would just not come! I was scheduled to be induced on the 18th, but they cancelled it and pushed me back to Friday the 20th. Dang it. But before that, my due date came along (the 14th) and I went to Maceys and got donuts for breakfast and I came home and just cried. I cried and cried and my wonderful husband did his best to consoul me. It's hard to understand, but it's just that you've been told this day for basically a year, and everyday you think to yourself that that day you will have him here, and then it comes around, FINALLY after all that waiting and anticipating, and you dont have a baby. It was kind of devastating, to be honest. But I did my best to be patient, and I'm so glad I did. Because I gave birth to healthy, and happy 8 pound sweetheart!!

Keagan's Nursery
Keagan's Nursery is FINALLY done! It has literally taken us 8 months, but we have it done, and I am so excited to share it with the world! I just hope he loves it as much as I do :]
(ps. I WISH the photo quality and lighting was better! It looks cuter in person!)
(ps. I WISH the photo quality and lighting was better! It looks cuter in person!)
I sewed the bedding :] Very proud of that! It wasn't easy, but it was worth it. It looks super cute!
All the picture frames are empty because we are waiting for his newborn pictures :] Look I'm all packed and ready to go!
My husband's handy work! In our little house, we have to use the closet for storage, so I thought about having an open armoire for his clothes instead!
Changing table and curtains. Both hand made.
Baskets labeled "white onesies, diapers, and lotions"
Side cubby for Q-tips, Germ-x, cotton balls, and everything else you need on hand when changing a diaper.
(The only thing left is the changing pad cover, and it's coming in the mail!)
Jordan-made lol
As you can tell, basically everything in the nursery is hand made, I thank my amazingly talented husband for that! I come up with ideas, and he makes it :] I feel like the nursery was definitely a team effort and we are both glad to have it done! I can't wait to see my little boy here! Obviously, he is SPOILED!
Week 38
Week 38, ALMOST 39
Oh how the days just drag on and on! Lots has gone on since I blogged last, lots of being miserable! Hopefully he will come any day now, but it kills me to say that I doubt it :(- Last time I went to the doctor, he told me that I was still 80% effaced, and I was dialated to a "1 and a wiggle." So I'm basically the same, but we will see what the doctor says tomorrow!
- My little man is grinding in my pelvis. Literally, everytime I take a step it hurts.
- This heat is killing me! Yesterday was the 4th of July and I got so lightheaded standing in the heat for so long.
- My fingers are even more swollen now. They look like sausages. lol I had to take the other bigger ring off my left hand because it was getting too small. Now I just dont think I'll wear a wedding ring until the baby is born.
- The rubbing on my ribs is now getting so bad that I'll just shoot up in the middle of the night because of the sharp pain.
- Sleeping has been seriously terrible. I toss and turn all night long! But yesterday, we borrowed a body pillow, and oh my gosh. I would recommend them to any pregnant girl! I sleep like a rock, and it's so much more comfortable when your hips aren't being pulled and tweaked. I wish I would have gotten this sooner!!
- My house is pretty clean :] my focus is on keeping it this way. I want to be keeping up on the laundry and dishes because I could leave at anytime and leaving a filthy house (having my baby come home to a filthy house) would drive me absolutely insane.
- I'm getting sharp pains in my stomach now, which is good news :] He is still moving a bit too, just not as crazy as he used to.
- I seriously make a trip to the bathroom every 15 minutes. No joke. My advice to a pregnant girl would be to stalk up on toilet paper! You go through so much! lol It gets annoying.
- Ultimately, I hate this waiting game!

Babymoon
Jordan and I went on a Babymoon last weekend. Kind of a funny name, huh? Basically it's just our last trip before the baby comes, PLUS Jordan just got done with his last semester of school at UVU and he, more than me, needed the relaxation. We just drove to Park City Friday afternoon and went to dinner. We had amazing babyback ribs, and Jordan ordered the biggest pile of nachos that basically rocked his world! We went walking down the old main street which was tough! I honestly thought that my water was going to bust right then and there. He felt so heavy, and my hip bones were so sore! My pelvis must now weigh at least 30 pounds because I just don't see how it's possible to feel like that if it doesnt. BUT the good news is that after we got to the car, we went back to the hotel and spent time soaking my aching legs in the hot tub! My next happy place was our bed: feathery, king sized, and lovely! I haven't slept that good in a long time! We then went and had breakfast and started our shopping adventure! Now... Can I just tell you that I have the most amazing husband in the world?! He gave me an amount of money and told me to spend it on clothes that I wanted to wear after the baby was born. We went to the Outlets, drove to the City Creek Center, then went to the University Mall, and I got some cute stuff. I almost wanted to cry because it's been so long since I've been shopping for me. He is so thoughtful, and I love him so so much! Also, I have great motivation now to fit into those new skinny jeans! When we got home we took Honey swimming, then came home and watched a movie. Ultimately I had a great time relaxing with Jordan, just me and him enjoying each other's company! He was so good to follow me around all day and never complained once! He is the light of my life, and I can't wait for Keagan to get here so we can start our parenting journey!!

Week 36 and 5 Days
It's hard to believe that I have about 3 weeks left of pregnancy. And let me tell you, I want out!! Some women really love everything about pregnancy, but I'm not one of those people. I love the thought of pregnancy...being a mother, the sacrifice, a beautiful little baby coming into the world...and this makes it all worth it! I'll miss feeling him kick, but I think that's about it. I just feel like 40 weeks is long enough..I'm ready to meet my little man and start getting back to real, normal me. And this is why the anticipation of 3 weeks is literally killing me! I just pray that I can make it and be patient!
- The doctor told me today that I am dialated to a 1 and 80% effaced. So the process is underway!
- Keagan is head down. I am one happy mommy! The doctor actually felt his head today during the examination. Kinda crazy!
- I'm still super hot! My hands are driving me crazy. They always feel like they are burning up! I sleep with a big fan on AND a swamp cooler and I still sleep with no blankets. I burn up at night!
- We just barely barrowed a bassinet from Keisha and it's vacant in the corner of our room.
- We are going on a Babymoon :] Jordan and I decided that this weekend we were going to get away and go to Park City for a night! I'm seriously so stoked!! He wants to take me shopping for after-baby clothes and I can't wait. I could cry at the thought of shopping for myself... I haven't done it since I can remember.
- I learned today that the pain above my stomach is my uterus rubbing against my ribs. It's painful to the touch and sometimes gives off a sharp pain. But Dr. Donna said it was normal and will go away once I'm not pregs.
- I think I've been having contractions. My belly will tighten really hard, but I don't feel anything. No pain, no nothing. So I hope that they are contractions but who knows... Right now I'm only experiencing about 2 or 3 a day.
- Keagan is still a busy bee. Now his kicks move my whole stomach, it looks so crazy to see my tummy violently swaying side to side.
- My ankles still haven't swollen, knock on wood! But I can tell my face is. I think I'm retaining water.
- Now that I'm expecting the baby, I'm trying really hard to keep up on dishes and laundry! You never know when we are going to need to be rushing out the door!
- The car seat base is locked in my back seat! Ready to go.

Packing For The Hospital
I have finally packed the baby's diaper bag for the hospital and it feels so good :] I just feel more prepared and less stressed. I know I still have a month...but I feel more at peace now lol I took a picture of what I packed, just for fun! I looked up on other blogs what other ladies have packed for the hospital, and compiled my own list. Now...let's be real. I'm basically 97% sure that I over packed. BUT... I'm a first time mom, what do you expect? lol I have no idea what I'll really need and what I won't, and I would rather pack too much than not enough:] So here ya go!
Starting from Left to Right:
- Soft Blanket: A little thicker, I picked this one because it's all minky and really soft.
- 3 White Onesies
- Binky: I know the hospital gives you one, but I like this one better.
- A Bib: Just in case
- Going Home Outfit: Looks a little big..but we'll see.
- Bottles: I know the hospital gives you one, but once again, I like mine.
- Hand sanitizer with travel sized baby toiletries: I figure, they will always be in the diaper bag, so I might as well put them in now.
- 2 Outfits: 2 onesies, mittens, and socks.
- Newborn Diapers: I heard the hospital only gives you size 1's and those are too big.
- Wipes
- 2 Receiving Blankets
- 4 Burp Clothes
Now I just have to pack my bag....ugh. Where to start?

Week 35
I went to my Doctors Appointment today and just thought I would give you an update :]
- My feet are starting to hurt after I've been standing for too long. However, no sign of swelling.
- My fingers are swollen. The wedding ring is officially off :(
- I found another stretch mark on my side..and there is evidence of more on the way :(
- The doctor said that he thinks that Keagan is head down (which makes mamma SO happy!) and his estimated weight is about 4 and 1/2 to 5 pounds!
- I am hot. All the time. My hands and feet feel like they are on fire! We have a big fan, and a swamp cooler put into our apartment and I still sweat at nights. I'm burnin' up!
- I had another Braxton Hick the other night. I only get these at nights...so I bet he comes during the late hours.
- I am super tired!! I feel exhausted all day long!
- I drink water all day. I am so thirsty, I can't quench it!
- Turns out, total, I have gained 28 pounds. Not quite sure how I feel about this.
- He is kicking in my ribs so now finding a comfortable position is almost impossible!
- My doctors appointments get moved up to every week now :) And now they are going to start checking for dilation.
- When I'm home alone, I turn the swing on and read all of his books. I want him to be here SO BAD!! I Can Not Wait!
