9 Weeks and Miserable

It's hit people. The sickness. The "I would sell my kidney to not have to get out of bed this morning" syndrome. I have been pretty lucky with my pregnancy so far, I mean I'm 9 weeks and just barely getting sick. So I guess I should feel blessed, but boy is this aweful! I just want to die. And cry. Now school has started and I have to do my makeup in bed because I can't stand up for that long without dry heaving or passing out. Perfect. I just keep thinking of my angel, and my husband. The only two things that are getting me through this!

  • I'm still really tired. I would be completely fine with sleeping all day long.
  • The waistband on my garments is getting tight. And that hurts my belly. Which makes me feel sick.
  • When people ask me how I'm feeling, I just tell them that I feel like the life is being sucked out of me. Like this baby is literally taking everything I got. Then a picture of Bella during Breaking Dawn pops into my head, how her vamp-baby is "sucking" the life out of her. Yeah. Me to a Tee.
  • NO food sounds good. None. If it wasn't for my angel, I would be completely fine with not eating at all. Honestly, everything makes me nauseous. Such a pitty :(
  • I have to be really careful when I stand up. If I do it too quickly, I'll get light headed and pass out. I've only done it once, in Jordan's arms. And he didn't even notice...? lol
  • I finally made my doctor's appointment! December 9th!! SO EXCITED!
  • I've been losing a lot more hair than usual. Like after I get out of the shower, or style it. Makes me VERY nervous. But they say that's normal...and it will grow back in 7 months...scary.
  • I just feel like crap. Let's be real.
I'm just praying I can make it through these next 2 weeks of school. I feel like a hospitalized flu patient sprinting a 400 yard dash. I can do this. I just have to keep telling myself that. Thank goodness for my mom and sister-in-laws who keep me sane through this experience. As long as peanut is doing good, I guess I shouldn't care.

Baby J Is On Its Way!!!

Well the news is out!
And surprise, surprise!
We are expecting :]
Couldn't be happier, more excited, scared, nervous, stoked, thrilled, ecstatic!!! So many emotions!
I'll give you a much needed update on what happened:]

Well after being 4 or 5 days late, I decided to take a pregnancy test. Now, you might think, well duh Karol, of course your preg, but I honestly didn't think I was at all. We had been trying for a few months and every month around my time, BAM, disappointment. And I took it kinda hard. But the last time was the worse! I have never been late in my life, until September when I was a day late, 2 days, 3 days, and 4 days. I was certain I was pregnant, I took about 9 pregnancy tests in 4 days and they all gave me that dang single line. Finally on day 4, I started and was SO Sad! After that I decided I wasn't gonna worry about it anymore, and I needed to get babies off of my mind. So I started working out, drinking lots of water, and eating healthier..getting my body ready for our upcoming Hawaii trip:] So.....long story short, thats why I didn't think anything of being 5 days late this time. So it was Halloween when I finally decided to take a test. I can still remember that moment when I saw 2 lines. Not 1...but 2.
I just stared at it. Picked it up. Set it down. Paced the house. Took another test. Stared at it. Got on my knees and prayed. I cried and prayed, prayed and cried for a good hour. Then the wheels had to start turning. How on earth was I going to tell Jordan? I decided I couldn't tell him today, it was Halloween and we had a party to go to and I wanted that night to be all about us. So I waited. I kept the secret. THEE HARDEST secret I have ever had to keep! I went to the store and bought all this baby stuff and put them in boxes with a little poem. I told Jordan that I wanted to go on a date to somewhere nice. We went to the Olive Garden and I was so nervous! I told Jord I was going to the bathroom, but I actually gave the boxes to our hostess and asked her to deliver them to the table. She was way excited to do it. She delivered the package, about 10 loooooong minutes later. He opened the gift, and skipped right to the bottom of the poem where it says,
"Come what may, our lives will change soon
A new member will be added come July or June.
Surprise in the Summer, we're longing to see
Our sweet little baby
For we're parents to be!"
Needless to say, he couldn't believe and he was SO EXCITED! I will remember the smile on his face for the rest of my life. We hugged and cried, and couldn't believe it. It felt so much better that I didn't have to keep this all to myself!
We told our families shortly after. My side of the family that Friday with a scavenger hunt, and Jordan's family on Sunday with "drawing names for Christmas." Both families were so excited, both mom's cried, and I think both dad's are still in shock :] What a happy and exciting time in life!
So moving on to recent news... I am 7 weeks along right now! We found out our due date is July 3rd :] A little 4th of July baby:] And....
  • I'm really not showing yet, but after I eat dinner I poke out :]
  • I am starving all the time, food just sounds so wonderful!!
  • I'm nauseous basically all day, BUT I haven't actually vomitted yet...cross your fingers I'm one of those people who don't really get sick.
  • The first symptom I really noticed is I am SO emotional! I cry probably 90% more than usual. I can't watch a commercial without crying, let alone a movie. I'll start crying on a dime, so watch out! lol
  • I'm tired. All. Day. Long. All I want to do is nap.
  • The thought or smell of certain foods make me way nauseous. It all started with my Grandma saying the word "bacon."
  • I'm so excited for when I turn 10 weeks, so I can finally go to a doctor and see if everything is ok!
  • Right now, my baby is about the size of a blueberry! It has arm and leg buds, a spine, a brain, and a beating heart! It's already beating about 80 times per minute!! Crazy thought...
  • I have been cramping a lot. My body is stretching and making room for peanut.
  • Not knowing the gender is literally DRIVING ME INSANE!!! I just want to know So Bad!!
Well...that's basically the story! I can't believe I'm going to be a mom! I think about it a lot, but I'll admit, it hasn't quite hit me yet. I just want to meet my darling :] This is a crazy but amazing time in life!
Jordan and I couldn't be happier!! :]

Happy Halloween

Happy Halloween Everybody!

I hope it was one to remember! It sure was for me! The Jones side of the family had a Halloween party at Mandee's house, and she decorated everything so stinkin cute! All of the costumes were so cute, to name a few: Connly was Frankenstine, Avia was a witch, Lori and Gary were tourists, Paul was a bum, Mandee was an 80's chick, and Madix and Jayden were super heros!
Jordan and I....well.... let's just say we got our costumes at the DI for $11 each.
You be the judge...how do we look?
LOL this is what we're gonna look like when we're older! We were Grandma Karol and Grandpa Jordan :] We had so much fun with it, getting a cane and walker and everything! We danced the whole way down to Nephi laughing our heads off. We had dinner, played games, voted on the best costume, and had plenty of laughs! We had a great Halloween! Thanks Mandee, for having us over!

So You Think You Can Dance Tour

Jordan bought me tickets to go see So You Think You Can Dance Tour on October 26th, and can I just say,
IT WAS AMAZING!!!
Oh my goodness, we had SO much fun! I loved every minute of it! Our eyes were probably the size of tires the entire time! We had great seats, and all of the solos were past mind boggling. Tad was hilarious, Melanie was spectacular, and the routines were just amazing! It's not until you see this live when you really realize how good every single dancer truely is...I have no idea how they pick a winner! I would go to this again in a
heartbeat! Jord, thanks so much for taking me! You're the best husband in the entire world!!
