Week #25

Just about to week number 25! We went to a doctors appointment yesterday and all is well :] Here is a little bit about what has been going on with the baby and me :]
  • Well, I am huge. I stick straight out now and I can barely tie my shoes. I feel tight and heavy, and more times than not, Jordan has to give me a hand to get up from a laying down position. My garment tops only go to the top of my belly button (which still doesn't poke out) and my t-shirts are starting to hurt my belly because they are so tight. But good news! No stretch marks yet! (knock on wood!)
  • Keagan is a Kicker! He is soooo busy, and I love it so much! Lots of people say that feeling the movement is the only thing you'll miss about pregnancy, and I'm pretty sure I will be one of those people. I love it when he kicks. Myself, Jordan, my Mom, and Mika have all felt him move :] A few days ago I felt a sharp quick pain in my rib, and I wonder if he kicked me..or punched me.
  • About a week ago, I bought a little watermelon to eat and that was a mistake. Because now I need it, all. the. time! That is my new craving! It's amazing.
  • Keagan is about 1 1/2 pounds and is just over a foot long!
  • Sleeping is getting hard for me. I wake up at least 4 times a night and move. I toss and turn, turn and toss all night long, and I feel bad because I think I keep Jordan up. But when I ask him about it, he says he doesn't notice. lol
  • I think I'm going to have to wait before I do anything else with the nursery because school is winding down. And I am so busy!! I just have to buckle down, just one month left!

Starting Spring Break

Today was a good day :] This is mainly because of the fantastic weather! My handsome husband and I got to sleep in! That always means "good day!" Then we decided we would work on the nursery a little bit more. So I worked on sewing these bumper pads, and Jordan finished the armoire :] I opened all the windows, and let the light shine in!! :] After, we packed up the truck and Honey and went fishing at Deer Creek. We didn't catch anything, but had a few bites. To be honest, it really didn't matter. I just sat there soaking up the sun, enjoying the spring-like weather, and played with Honey. She loves the water! She played fetch in the water for the first time, and she tried her best. lol She whined a little, I think she got a little scared, but she did it :] She's always a trooper! We drove home after about 2 hours and had hamburgers for dinner. It's days like this that makes me believe that life is "simply good."

My Surprise!

Jordan came home from work today and said he had to go help our neighbor Steve move some stuff out of their storage unit. I told him that that was fine because I had to go take my test anyway. So I went to take my test, came home, and I could hear Jordan in the nursery drilling something. He pops his head out of the door and gave me the "one second" finger. I didn't think much of it because I was on the phone with my mom. Well right when I got off the phone, he opened the door and said he was just fixing the legs of the dresser because they are broken. He told me to go look..
AND THIS IS WHAT I FOUND!!
He had been coming from work late everyday this week, and apparently this is why :] He made our changing table, and it is SO CUTE!! The color matches perfect, the height is perfect, it's exactly what I wanted! Pictures don't do it justice, you'll have to come see it in person! I'm so lucky to have such a talented husband that can build me whatever I want :] I love him with all my heart!!

Vacation to the Home Land

Aloha!
This is basically going to be a picture post of our vacation to Hawaii :] We went for our 1 year anniversary/ mission reunion/ hurry and get in a vacation before the baby comes :] It definitely will be a trip to remember. I loved the people, and I want to be just like them! So nice and giving. I've never been kissed on the cheek before, especially by everyone I met. And bonding time with my husband was priceless. He had the time of his life, which made my time unforgettable:] He was like a kid in a candy store! Here are just a few pictures of our adventure..I hope you enjoy them!
Bubba Gump Shrimp Company. A little Forrest for ya :] It's basically impossible to walk in that store and not read every shirt in a Forrest Gump accent. We laughed so hard :]
LOVE this guy :] He honestly is the GREATEST!! Scuba Steve himself:] I snorkeled once as well. But after getting whiplash and turminated by a huge wave...we decided to call it a day. :]
Shave Ice :] So yummy...and huge.
Our Rental.
Our cottage in the Jungle. lol
We would come home at night and look what we found. GECKOS! Sneaky little buggers. They scared me so bad!
Cocki Frogs. This one was in our kitchen. They sound like really loud crickets at night. I guess seeing one is really rare, and I got a picture of one! Hope you enjoy....lol
Some of our local friends took us swimming at Rainbow Falls. I was just pregnantly perched up on a rock. But I enjoyed watching Jord jump and have a good time!
One of our favorite families :] They took us to Waipio Valley to have lunch and play on the black sand. Probably the most beautiful beach I have ever seen :]
After we got back from Waipio Valley, they took us to see the sea turtles. We got to see/pet one :] (even though that's illegal. lol) But this guy was so beautiful and peaceful. I loved it.
This is the devil crab. We were at the beach and Jordan wanted to bury me in the sand. So he was digging a hole and this guy just pops right out and starts chasing me! So I scream and the whole beach turns to look at me. Very embarrassing. He was creepy.
This is...too bad.
Jordan was a CHAMP at Boogie Boarding! I loved watching him!
The temple :] Too bad there was no one around to take our picture or else Jordan could have been in this one too.

Ultrasound

Last week was our 20 week ultrasound and to say it was mega fun would be an exaggeration. Seriously though, I loved it!! I can't figure out how to upload all of these fabulous pictures of Baby J onto my computer, so sorry about no visuals, but just take my word for it....He's cute. I can already tell.

We got to see everything.. The heart contracting, his brain (he has lots of brains, gets them from his mom;), his legs (he was crossed at the ankles), his face (in one of the pictures it looks like hes smiling at us:), his little feet, his hands (which were cupped), his kidneys, lungs, and of course, his man parts. Funny story about that, Jordan probably asked the doctor if it was a boy 3 or 4 times. And the doctor would say yes, it appears that he does have "boy parts." Jordan would ask, well, how do you know? What would you see if it was a girl? lol I thought it was so funny, he wanted to make dead sure it was a boy. And it IS! Another funny thing, I swear he has big lips, at least that's what it looked like. I got SO excited, He has his mom's lips!! lol But I guess we will just have to wait and see.

I've started his bedding, finally! Jordan and I went to look at fabric and picked out some "not-too-girly" kind. The bed skirt is almost done, and I haven't started those dang bumper pads yet. They ought to be a treat. But yeah, now I feel like we can finally start the nursery, and that is wonderful news! Now I'm just waiting for school to be over so I can let all of my creative/decorative fury fly :]

One more thing :] Jordan felt Him kick for the first time last Sunday (the 4th) as we were sitting in Sacrament meeting! During the closing prayer he started kicking, (and you have to understand that our little man is quite stingy with his kicks. As soon as Jordan puts his hand on my belly, he stops.) but this time was different. I grabbed Jordan's hand and about 7 seconds later, we felt this big poke. (Probably one of his bigger kicks.) I will never forget the look on Jordan's face :] It makes me so happy to think about, his eyes just lit up and he got this huge grin on his face :] He thought it was "nuts." lol He said it's a lot more real for him now, and he can't wait to be a dad :]

I can't wait to see him be a dad :]
