Week 33

It seems like I give updates every month, I don't mean to do this..but it just happens I guess. Well, lets talk baby:] Keagan is doing good! My next appointment is June 6th.
  • Jordan has officially lost ownership of at least half of his closet.  All I wear now-a-days (unless I'm going somewhere super important) is his basketball shorts and one of his T-shirts. Seriously, every single day. It's horrible, but so comfy. Sometimes (almost everyday lol)  I miss cute jeans and shirts, but for right now, I choose comfort.
  • I think that I had my first Braxon Hick the other night. I'm still not sure what it was BUT all I know is that it hurt very badly. I woke up in the middle of the night and it felt like the most horrible cramps I have ever had in my life. I wanted to throw up and my stomach hurt really bad. Luckily, I fell back asleep but in the morning I was pretty sure. Like I said...Idk if it was a Braxon Hick or something else...who knows.
  • My baby shower is this Saturday :] I'm SOOOOO excited!
  • To pick something up, I have to do this little side swivel. lol I have to roll out of bed, and to be completely honest, I'm feeling very uncomfortable, and everyday tasks are getting hard!
  • I think my hair is getting thicker. It stopped falling out a while ago, and now I think I'm growing a lot more.
  • At my last doctor's appointment, I gained 24 pounds total. I've been very self conscious about what I'm eating lately. I just want to make sure I'm eating enough for him and that he's getting all the nutrition he needs! (and drinking enough water!)
  • I have found one stretch mark on my side.  :( I continue to lather my skin with cocoa butter lotion. Hopefully, it doesn't get much worse.
  • I really miss exercising and being active. I feel so limited and constrained. I can't wait until I can start working out again!
Besides that, everything is about the same. I'll be sure to take pictures of my baby shower and blog about it! Can't wait!!

Just For Kicks

Last night, Jordan and I were laying in bed and our little man starting kicking pretty hard. Well Jordan was feeling and he pushed on my stomach where he was kicking. I don't think Keagan liked it very much because he started pushing back! His little foot or arm would just push and push and push against Jordan's fingers, then he would get tired and stop. Then a minute later, he would push and stretch again. :] He did this about 10 times which was a big deal cause usually he gets shy when people feel him move! It was pretty enjoyable to be honest, it made me laugh! I'm so excited to have my baby boy here! Only 2 more months!

Learning To Cook

I need to learn how to cook all over again! Let me explain.. see. Jordan and I have our new schedules all figured out for when the baby comes. We had to figure out a way so that Jordan could still go to work and school, AND I could still go to school too. We are both really against day care because WE want to be the ones that raise our boy, and quite frankly, we don't want to miss anything! All of the pieces fell into place, and we feel very blessed. Jordan will go to work in the morning and be done by 3 o clock. I switched my cohort to the night one, so at 3 we will switch places and I'll go to school. Jord will stay home with Keagan and his classes are online through Weber so he can do his schooling then from our home. Lucky how that all worked out huh? But what I'm trying to say by this post is that I wont get home at night until 7 or 8. By that time, it will be about time to give baby a bath and put him to bed. Basically what I'm saying is.... I'm not gonna have time to cook! Nor am I probably going to want to after a 5 hour school shift. So I'm going to have to learn how to cook all over again, and thank goodness for Pinterest! See, I'm compiling my own personal cookbook of freezer meals, throw-and-go, and casserole dishes meals. All of these dinners have the ending goal of putting it in before I leave, and having it ready for when I come home. Plus, this way, Jordan wont have to wait for me if he's starving, he can just eat when he's ready. This way, I can still be a good wife and take care of my hubby, and still be mega busy. I think that organization is the key. I'm just starting to compile recipes, so I'll be able to plan a two week period of meals at a time. I'll keep you updated on how this goes! I've been trying out some new recipes, last night was a good one! I tried a throw-and-go meal (a meal that you put in the crockpot, but you can't freeze it a head of time) and it only has 3 ingredients!! Please allow me to share :]

Creamy Ranch Porkchops
-porkchops
-2 cans of cream of chicken soup
-ranch seasoning packet
----Put all in the crockpot and cook on low for 4-6 hours. Serve with mashed potatoes and use the leftover soup as gravy! Seriously sooo good and sooo easy! :]

There is more to come, and if you have a favorite easy crockpot recipe...please let me know!!

Test Results

I finally went last Wednesday and had my doctors appointment! I had my glucose test, which wasn't as bad as I expected. I had to drink this orange flavored water stuff...basically the best way I can describe it is orange flavored really sugary water. Like..more sugar than flavor. So that was kinda gross but I just chugged it as fast as I could. Then an hour later, they took my blood, took my blood pressure, and weighed me. Since my pregnancy started, I have now gained 22 pounds. Kinda sad that he's only 3 pounds of that. lol But I met with Dr. Skinner and heard Keagan's little heartbeat and everything was ok. He said that my tailbone is probably exactly what I thought it was (not broken, but pulled out of place) and my headaches aren't from high blood pressure, so it must just be the new heat.
I had to get my Rhogam shot, but the clinic doesn't give them so I had to go to the hospital and get it. So I went the next day and found out that they needed another blood test before they could give me a shot. So they took another sample, and told me to come back tomorrow. Soooo...I came back Friday morning to finally get my shot, and to make a long story short, the nice nurse had to give it to me in the hip which hurt way bad. Then she told me I had to wait in the lobby for 20 minutes to make sure that I didn't have any side effects. So I was in the lobby for about 10 minutes and a nurse came and sat next to me with a bunch of paperwork and I instantly panic and think, "Oh crap, they gave me the wrong shot!" Well, she proceeds to explain that when the nurse was pulling out my shot needle from my hip, she poked herself with it. So it's standard procedure to ask the patient if they will donate a vile of blood to do HIV testing with. She asked me if I would, and I thought Heck why not?! I've already had it taken twice in the last two days, why not make it three? :] But they were so nice about it and apologetic. They even gave me two free movie passes for my troubles. lol So this is the first time in forever since I can honestly say I paid for a date all by myself! :]
But anyways, my glucose came back negative :] which is a relief. And everything is good so far! I just feel big and heavy! My patience is running thin...I just can't wait for my little boy to be here! I'm SO EXCITED to be a mom!! :]
